How much will Government Health Insurance cost? Plenty. First your are forced to purchase it for you and your family or face IRS penalties, fines and possible imprisonment. The lowest premium is estimated at $7,300 for incomes under 44,000 or 17% of your income. A 17% tax increase. What is worse employers will take on less employees and you may not have any employer coverage and thus forced to pay this. Or if you get laid off or try to become an independent contractor this is what you face.
Can you pick the policy you want? No.
Can you refuse insurance or pay for it? No. IRS has the power to fine you, charge interest on back missed payments because it is a tax, attach your assets like your bank account, make liens, and imprison you.
Will Medicare Benefits remain untouched? No. Seniors get used to the new “medical home” center concept where you go before you can access your doctor.
Does Congress Participate in Government Run Health Insurance? No. It is an elective and unlike companies that will opt to choose the Government plan and drop the plan you have, the Federal Government will not because you pay the best plans Congress enjoys no matter how much it costs.

If you do not believe there will be rationing, the H1N1 vaccine is now being rationed. If your doctor has the vaccine, but does not have a large supply, they are directing folks to the local health department to get approval. Currently children are top priority and elderly are not.
